There have been three primary kindergartens that have been related to Ibaraki Christian. The original Taga Kindergarten that was established on the property of Taga Church of Christ in 1947 was moved to the IC campus in April of 2010. Hitachi Kindergarten was established in 1950. After the 3/11/2011 triple tragedy the building was replaced. Takahagi Kindergarten was established in 1953 and was closed in 2012 after the triple tragedy. Joe Cannon was the missionary primarily responsible for the establishing of the kindergartens.

The Hitachi Kindergarten became one of the first Pre-school/ Kindergarten schools of Japan in 2006. Now Hitachi and Omika schools are both comprised of Pre-school and Kindergarten programs.
