我々の理念の中心は語学習得の理論に基づきコミュニケーションを通じて英語を習得 するという考え方にあります。新入生がその理念にはじめて出会うのは、English CommunicationのInteractive Sessionという授業です。Interactive Sessionでは、 情報を交換しながら、ことばの習得を高めるためにデザインされたプロジェクトに取 り組み、英語でのコミュニケーション技術を磨いていきます。現代英語学科の「英語 で学ぶ」の授業のための準備となります。

The center of our philosophy, which is based on language learning theory, is that students learn English while using English. One of the first classes our students encounter this philosophy is the Interactive Session of English Communication. In the Interactive Session, students participate in projects designed to provide opportunities to use English as a real tool of communication to exchange real information. This prepares students for using language in our English-intensive classes.
